Institute of Urban and Regional Studies and the Urban Clinic
This lecture series, organized around a changing annual theme is a wonderful opportunity for MA students to hear from the most creative and thoughtful practitioners in the country. LINK to Presentations by Guest Lecturers (mostly in Hebrew!).
Students hear multiple perspectives on a topic central to the urban planning agenda, and write short response pieces relating the lecture to their own experiences and ideas. We publicize the best of the student responses, and send them to the guest lecturer. In an occaisional series, we publish a compendium on the annual topic.
The 2018 - 2019 topic is urban regeneration. Previous year's topics have included new neighborhoods (2017-2018), public spaces (2016-2017) and public engagement in planning (2015-2016).
