Shirin  holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from BGU (the first Bedouin woman civil engineer) and currently works in Rahat coordinating the town planning committee. 

She is a graduate of a course for women leaders in local government, and a course in environmental building techniques. 

She sees herself as a future decision-maker in local government.
