Architect Maliha Zugayar completed her MA in Urban and Regional Planning at Hebrew University. She wrote a Master's Thesis titled Developers and Vertical Informality: The case of Kufar-Aqab, Jerusalem, which was then transformed and published as an academic article in 2021.
Maliha recently joined an ongoing project between Hebrew University and the Ifkari Association, which aims to promote urban education and strengthen the community in Jerusalem while focusing on urban issues from a neighborhood perspective. Maliha holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Bir Zeit University in Ramallah. Previously, she worked at a private architecture firm preparing local city building plans and building permits for East Jerusalem.
