Tamara has a BA and MA degree in Geography from the Hebrew University, and wrote her thesis on Palestinian women’s mobility needs in Jerusalem. She has worked in international development and urban and transport planning projects in Africa and India, as well as in community development and political activism in Israel. Tamara is particularly passionate about labour rights and unions, and is interested in understanding the role of informal labour and the informal economy in the production of urban services and urban space in both low- and high-income cities.
