Architect Yasmin Abu Arafeh received her B.A. from the Jordan University of Science and Technology and an M.A. in Urban and Regional Planning from Hebrew University. Today she works as an architect and planner at a private office in Jerusalem. During her master’s studies, she joined the Urban Clinic’s Internship course and, during that work, identified potential structures worthy of preservation in the Al-Tur neighborhood in East Jerusalem. Her Internship work was done in the context of the neighborhood’s master plan. Yasmine joined the Clinic’s study on the hierarchy of public spaces in East Jerusalem neighborhoods and the phenomenon’s impact on the planning approach.
According to Yasmin, “the years of planning have allowed me to face challenges, and have allowed her to get to know both progressions and tools, which are supposed to help find planning solutions in the Arab-Palestinian part of the City.
